　天正11（1583）年、真田昌幸公が上田城を築城したときに、城の鬼門の方向にあるこの地に移転建立し、上田城下町鎮護のお寺となりました。４月には、参道わきの桜並木が美しいです。ご朱印もございます。

　 　Built in 1583 when Masayuki Sanada built Ueda Castle. This temple was built to protect Ueda Castle Town from disasters. In April, the row of cherry trees along the approach is beautiful.
