姨捨エリア棚田

　姨捨の棚田は、聖山高原を背に善光寺平を一望できる。標高は、460ｍから560ｍまでに至る。棚田面積は約40haの景勝地の中にある。
　16世紀半ばから形成されていった棚田は、江戸時代以降、文学・絵画の題材に取り上げられるなど、風致景観の優秀な記念物である。
　また、１年を通して、稲穂の状態で様々な棚田の表情を見ることができる。

　Rice terraces can overlook the Zenkoji-Taira, with the Hijiriyama highlands back. The altitude ranges from 460 m to 560 m. Rice terraces area is approximately 40ha.
　Rice terraces that had been formed since the middle of the 16th century have been taken up as literary and painting subjects since the Edo era and are excellent memorials with a scenic landscape.
　In addition, throughout the year, you can see the expression of various rice terraces in the condition of rice panicles.
