This temple is which exists in the at the foot of the mountain of Mt.Tokkozan
and has a large garden. Yakushi-dō is said to be the oldest wooden building
in Chubu erea. Yakushi-dō is designated as an important cultural property
of the country together with "Yakushinyorai-buddha" and "Shinsyo-statue". It was built in the early Kamakura period and is being built in a style called "Amidadō format". In front of Yakushi-dō, there is Kongo-rikishi statues created at the end of the Heian period.
Also, in the precincts, "Parenting Jizō" is enshrined and there
is a benefit for children's growth and security. |
