　別所温泉・北向観音の本坊にあたる。鎌倉時代には天台教学の道場として栄えました。境内には国の重要文化財に指定されている石造多宝塔があります。隣には、常楽寺の美術館もあり、古くから秘蔵されている瓦や仏像、絵画など数多くの名作・名品が展示されています。

　It is the main temple of Kitamuki-Kannon. In the precincts there is a stone pagoda designated as an important cultural asset of the country. Next to it is a art museum.
